Where will 2014 take you? Take a walk down the National Mall.
If I can help you experience a stress free holiday, making the most of your precious vacation time, then my New Year’s Resolution will be fulfilled.
So when you’re thinking about where you might want to travel, here are some things to think about:
1. Time – How much time do you have? Do you have enough to travel to a far off destination or just a weekend getaway? Some places are easier than others to explore during a short period of time. For others, you need at least a week, two, maybe even three!
Where will 2014 take you? The City of Lights? You could spent a month just exploring The Louvre!
2. Budget – How much can you spend on your vacation? If you are on a tight budget then perhaps Monaco isn’t that best place to visit. But what if you really, really want to visit Monaco? Then start thinking about what is most important to you and prioritize. Do you really want to stay in a fabulous hotel? Then you may need to skimp on fancy dining. Do you love to eat? Then consider a vacation rental or hostel (some even have private bathrooms these days!) so you can splurge on champagne and caviar.
Where will 2014 take you? Living the fabulous life in Monaco?
3. Special Needs – Are you traveling with children or seniors? You’ll want to make sure that the destination you are hoping to visit provides kid friendly, or senior friendly, activities. If you don’t drink, then Napa may not be the place for you. Do you enjoy craft beer? Then visit LA for sightseeing and as well as a growing craft brew scene.
Where will 2014 take you? Orlando for theme parks galore!
4. Most importantly – Be Honest – Be honest with yourself about what makes you happy. Think about the vacations that were most memorable or when you had the most fun. If you really love theme parks, then don’t force yourself to visit museum after museum. You are going to spend a lot of money, energy, and valuable time on your vacation so do what’s going to make you happy. Not what someone else tells you should see and do.
Where will 2014 take you? When in Rome....well, you can fill in the blank!
I truly hope that 2014 brings you happiness, joy, success, adventure, love, and everything in between! It’s a New Year people! Go nuts! Be brave! Do something today that you will remember forever!
Where will 2014 take you? Martha's Vineyard to jump off the famous Jaw's Bridge? That's me!
